Power, Politics, and Public Access: The Contested History of Oswego Lake

Dr. Stephen Beckham served as the State of Oregon's expert witness in this litigation between 2012 and 2025. Beckham will present documentary and visual materials relating to the Oswego Lake case and examine the conflicting narratives and findings about its status. 

Prof. Beckham is an emeritus professor of history, Lewis & Clark College, a former "Oregon Professor of the Year," and recipient of the Asher Distinguished Teaching Award from the American Historical Association.
