WANT TO RESEARCH A HISTORIC PROPERTY?

Before reaching out to the Oswego Heritage Council for help on researching your historic property, there are steps we ask you to take to gather as much information as you can. We understand it may be difficult to locate some, or all, information, but we will best serve you once you determine the names of previous owners.

CHECK TO SEE IF THE HOUSE HAS A SURVEY

Collecting House Records

Gather your property's exact address, tax lot number (from county tax statement), and any known former owners to get started.

Property Records: Useful for establishing construction dates, remodel history, and ownership

CLACKAMAS COUNTY RECORDS

This link will take you to Clackamas County's website, where you can find property records, tax assessments, and building history resources. You may need to visit the office in person.
