Pints from the Past: Oswego Suffragists

  • 01/14/2025
  • 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • The Lake Theater & Cafe

Using new research from the Oswego Heritage Council's current exhibit, meet the women in early Oswego who fought to better their community. These women didn't sit around waiting for voting rights to be given to them; they organized and fought for them, enacting change in Oswego both before and after women's suffrage passed in 1912. How did they do this? Discover the stories behind the exhibit! Presented by executive directory Kathryn Sinor and archives volunteer Courtney Clements.

This program is offered by the Lake Oswego Public Library in cooperation with the Lake Theater & Café. Admission is free and no ticket is required (though food and drink purchase is encouraged to offset the cost to the Lake Theater). Doors open at 6:30, the presentation begins at 7:00. The Lake Theater & Café is located at 106 North State Street in Lake Oswego. For more information, contact Carissa Barrett at cmbarrett@lakeoswego.city or 503-534-4237. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library.
