Come one, come all, to meet the spirits haunting the Oswego Heritage House!
Find yourself face to face with some colorful figures from Oswego’s past: an artist who died tragically in the Oswego canal, a graverobbing gang who stole the body of one of Portland’s most prominent, and more!
Discover Oswego as it was more than 100 years ago…
A Haunting History will feature fear-filled activities to discover the culture of death in the early 20th century, refreshments of the most spooky order, a one-day only mini exhibit on death and dying in early Oswego, and ghostly encounters with the most haunted stories from our archives. Guests will hear about tragic tales, get a behind the scenes look at artifacts with spooky histories, and connect with history in an interactive, fun way!
OHC will also be collecting YOUR ghost stories from around Lake Oswego. Want to submit them early?
Submit your ghost story here.
Guests are invited to dress-up and embrace the experience for its unique engagement of history but to recognize that it is a reenactment meant to educate. No spirits will actually be summoned. This event is best for children over the age of 10, but because of the subject matter, please use your best judgment.
