When we look at historic houses, the first thing we see is often the spacious front porch. It seems that every house built between 1890 and 1930 had a porch! This was an era when front porches were expected on houses, and when those porches were used. What was our culture like in those “good old days”? And... What did people do on their porches? Kay Demlow, dressmaker, fashion historian, and creator of The 1909 School, will share stories from porches long ago, and will spark ideas for spending time on your porch.

Registration for Lake Oswego’s 2026 Collector Car & Classic Boat Show is now open!

Cars! Motorcycles! Bicycles! We're growing our show, and we want you to be there. Bring your vehicle, and enjoy the day connecting to other enthusiasts. We'll have fun, music, games, and more all day long! Our show is an eclectic collection of vehicles throughout time and type, bringing out thousands of visitors in a day. Join us in this long-running event today!

When: Sunday August 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM*
*We may close early depending on heat.

Cost:

For cars: $30 with pre-registration; $40 the day of the event
For motorcycles: $20 with pre-registration; $30 the day of the event
For bicycles: $10 with pre-registration; $20 the day of the event

Proceeds benefit the Oswego Heritage Council, which is Lake Oswego’s Museum dedicated to the preservation of our city’s local history. No refunds or transfers.
