Join the OHC Volunteer Corps!
OHC has diverse opportunities for volunteers including, but not limited to, the following:
Special events: Volunteers are critical in the success of OHC events such as the Collector Car & Classic Boat Show and the Historic Home Tour.
Car & Boat Show: Volunteers help with set-up and takedown, registration, OHC promotion, evaluations, and more. Volunteers have the opportunity to see over 300 unique boats and cars at this one-of-a-kind event. For more information about the Car & Boat Show, visit here.
Historic Home Tour: Volunteers assist with giving tours of the historic homes, registration, assisting visitors with finding the homes, and more. Those who volunteer for this event receive a free ticket to view all homes on the tour that year.
Collections: Assist Mark Browne, Archival Manager, with cataloging, moving, storing, and organizing collections.
Maintenance & Landscape: Volunteers with experience with historic home improvements and maintenance and who have an interest in landscaping have the opportunity to assist us with maintenance and landscaping projects at the Heritage House on 10th and A.
Special Projects: Often special projects arise that require volunteers with a particular skill set. If you have an idea for a project or would like to submit your information with your skills and abilities for future projects, we would be happy to keep you on file for the future.
Museum Docents: Volunteers with a love of history and sharing that history with community members are invited to be a museum docent at the Heritage House & Museum on 10th and A. We have a permanent history museum, as well as rotating exhibits.
