Many Oswego war veterans are buried in OPC: 22 from the American Civil War (1861-1865),  1 from the Boer War (1880-1881), 2 from the Spanish-American War of 1898, 22 from the First World War (1914-1918), 35 from World War II (1939-1945), 3 from the Korean War (1950-1953), 3 from the Vietnam War (c. 1955-1975), and 2 from the Iraq War (2003-present). One of the Spanish-American War veterans was James U. Campbell. He was an Oregon Supreme Court judge from 1930 to 1937 and was Linus Pauling’s uncle by marriage.
